Susie Orbach is an English psychotherapist, writer, speaker, and former columnist for the London Evening Standard. She has written three books about women's issues: "Fat Is a Feminist Issue" (1978), "Fat Is Not a Feminist Issue" (1985) and "The Beauty Myth" (1991). She is an honorary fellow of the British Psychological Society, honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, honorary fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, adviser to the United Nations Commission on Women, and senior research fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
